Just a head’s up – the postponement of Relay 4 Life to November 2nd, tomorrow, seems to have been called off. There will not be an event tomorrow so please enjoy your evening off tomorrow night!
Here Meeting_10.17.12 from today’s meeting. We talked about:
Here are the highlights from our meeting today:
Here is the design for this year’s shirts for Junior Classical League. We need your ideas about colors, but it is an example of what I thought would look cool. Dino had suggested a grey tshirt so I went with that and a red logo with white lettering. We need the logo to be at most two colors, but one is probably best in terms of getting the best price.
Let us know what you think in the group forum!
The image is of a Gorgon head, most famously that of Medusa! It was a symbol used in the ancient world to ward off evil and protect the wearer. In fact, it is a symbol you find on Athena’s armor as well! I think it is an appropriate image as we strive to take our club to the next level this year and participate in activities against other clubs within our region, state, and possibly nationally! The only thing we need now is our own slogan to put across the back of the shirts!

Today we laid out our plans for the future and talked to potential new members. See what you missed!
It’s that time of year again! Junior Classical League here at Somerset Academy is having open enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year! If you are interested, swing on by tomorrow in room 319 at 2:45 for an informational meeting to learn more about the club.
Here are the meeting notes from today’s meeting.
Here is a video giving you a bit of an introduction to what JCL is and also providing some highlights from this summer’s conference at Wake Forest University.
Well, it is that time of year again! School is back (well, not technically until next week!) and we will need to start our year long campaign for JCL. This year we have a goal of not only attending the regional forum, but also the state and the national fora as well. We will need to plan out our school events, fund raising, and talk about what sorts of things we want to get done in the foreseeable future (shirts, slogan, etc.). See you officers then!
