Beware the Ides of March!
We will be having our final test of the 3rd quarter on this Friday – and it will test your understanding of the concepts we learned in Stage 7, namely the differences between Present, Imperfect, and Perfect tenses of verbs.
Look over your notes, work from Stage 7, and the crossword puzzle. There are 36 questions, all multiple choice. The first part will be a short paragraph in Latin, where you will have to answer questions. The second part will see if you can identify a description, written in Latin, of a character we have read about in our textbook. The third part will require you to identify whether a verb form is Present, Imperfect, of Perfect tense. Finally, part four will have you translate the underlined word.
Remember that your final is coming up – so you need to make sure you study and prepare for your final test! Here is a copy of the study guide, just in case you lost the one I passed out in class today.

Remember to look over your past work and review for your test on Friday. It will be covering Stage 7 – the Perfect tense.
The test has 47 multiple choice questions:
- #1-10 – Comprehension
- #11-20 – Matching (Characters from the stories)
- #21-30 – Identifying verb tenses (Present, Imperfect, or Perfect)
- #31-40 – Translate the underlined English word into Latin
- #41-47 – Identify the underlined English word’s meaning (Derivatives)
Remember, tomorrow’s test is on Stage 7! There will be 47 multiple choice questions on the test arranged in several sections. The first section is a reading passage, in Latin, that will have some comprehension questions. This will be followed by some questions that will require you to translate from English into Latin certain verb tenses for example, the present, imperfect, and perfect tenses. Good luck!
