Your midterm for the first semester will be on Thursday, 1/17! Make sure you are studying and preparing for success!
The format will be 45 multiple choice questions, all from Stage 5. So make sure you look over the work we did for Stage 5, in particular the vocabulary and the grammar. We learned the plural forms for verbs and also that there has to be an agreement between the subject (Nominative case) and the verb. Bonam Fortunam!
On Tuesday, 12/18, we will be having our quiz for Stage 5. In this chapter, we focused on how the subject of a sentence must always agree with its verb. For example, a plural subject means the verb must also be plural, and if the subject is singular then the verb must also be singular. Study over Stage 5 and be ready for your quiz!
Make sure that you print out and complete your Crossword puzzle for Stage 5 for our next class on 12/18! Remember you can practice the online version first but you need to print out the assignment and bring it back to class.
Your midterm for Latin Beginning will be 90 multiple choice questions. I have put together a study guide that breaks down the test according to each section and what each section will be addressing. As you study for the midterm, make sure you dig up all of the work that is cited on the midterm study guide and review it. If you have any questions, make sure you ask in class on Thursday, which will be our final review before our midterms.
Be confident though – you have been studying Latin all year long! We don’t stop using any of the skills we learn, but continue to use them throughout the year!
Midterm Schedule
Winter break is right around the corner! So, in order to get things wound down before we break, I wanted to announce ahead of time what is coming. We are going to be having a quiz on December 7th for Stage 5 which means the test will be following shortly thereafter on December 13th – which will be multiple choice and consist of 45 questions!
Then, to wrap up, we will have our Saturnalia party on December 15th! So be sure not to miss that as that is the last day we will meet for class for 2011! (Or MMXI)
Just a quick reminder – remember we have our Crossword for Stage 5 due tomorrow. Make sure you select the “printable” version and fill it out and bring it to class tomorrow! See you all then!
Remember, our midterm is going to be on Tuesday, January 18th from 10:15-12:15! It is multiple choice and follows a similar format for the tests we have seen so far this year. The test is 90 questions, all multiple choice and it covers material from Stage 1 – Stage 5. We will be reviewing tomorrow!
Nota Bene! Quiz tomorrow on Stage 5! If you look over the Practicing the Language for Stage 5, A, B, and C, you will be well prepared for the quiz! Make sure you understand the noun forms and that you need to make sure the subject and verbs agree!
