Since I will be attending, and presenting, at the American Classical League’s Institute LXVI at the University of Memphis, it would seem like a good idea to take the opportunity to generate more discussion. If http://arbonpublishing.com/ you can’t make it, don’t worry – I will be posting a nightly wrap up throughout the conference on this part of the Romae network.
The institute will meet on the 27th, 28th, and 29th. Although I am not signed up for the pre-institute portion, I will definitely post what has been discussed. On the 28th, I am presenting on behalf of the ACL’s Technology Committee along with Cindy Caltagirone and Zee Ann Poerio, “Fluency in Geek: Growing Classical Studies Programs Through Technology” in the morning portion of the institute.
On the 29th’s morning session, Zee Ann Poerio will be leading a team of presenters entitled: “All Hands on Tech: Expanding the Read of the Latin Classroom” on behalf of both the ACL Tech Committee and Excellence Through Classics.
Also, we will utilize the Amicitia social network to generate discussion. Look for our general discussion and coverage of the LXVI institute in the Colloquia group. For the more “techie” stuff, look for the Technology Committee group as we have discussion “threads” designated for our presentation and other talks that are tech-themed.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Memphis and the discussions that grow as a result of the conference!
